Laria and AdSmash both make AI ad creative, but they cover different amounts of the work. Laria, made by Paia Intelligence GmbH, is an AI ad generator for avatar videos, AI videos and product photos on monthly credits; AdSmash adds competitor watchlists (Pro and Team) and read-only Meta performance data around generation. This laria vs AdSmash comparison is published by AdSmash, so every laria claim links to laria's own pricing, terms or models page, checked on October 2, 2026. Laria's site is German-first, with a partly English /en/ version.
- Laria generates avatar videos with lip sync, AI videos and product photos on plans billed monthly in euros; its Enterprise plan adds a dedicated account manager.
- AdSmash keeps brand references, several model providers, competitor watchlists and ad creative intelligence on Pro and Team, read-only Meta data and a Managed Service with human review.
- The cost fact most likely to matter: laria's monthly subscription credit allowance is valid for one month with no rollover.
- By our calculation, laria's Pro plan works out to at most 9.90 euros per avatar video, a maximum that assumes the whole plan goes to that output.

What laria does in 2026
Laria's pricing-page FAQ says it generates avatar videos, product photos and AI videos with curated models, and that an integrated editor makes the video ready to post. Avatars speak with lip sync in German and other languages. The same page lists an AI Script Generator and multilingual output on every paid plan.
On avatars, the FAQ says you can choose a realistic AI avatar or create your own exclusive one. Growth, Max and Scale add a custom avatar, custom fonts and brand colors, and an enhancer for texts and logos, per the plan cards.
For models, laria's pricing page names Sora 2 and Veo 3.1 for AI videos. Its models page lists Google Veo, Seedance 2.0 and 2.5, HeyGen for avatar videos and ElevenLabs for speech, and the homepage carries a banner announcing Seedance 2.5. The two lists are not the same, so treat each as scoped to its page.
Laria's FAQ names e-commerce brands, performance marketers testing variants and agencies as its audience. It also claims savings of up to 90% against classic creator campaigns. That is a vendor claim, and the page gives no method.
What AdSmash does, and what it doesn't
AdSmash stores products, likenesses, colors and typography once and reuses them across generations. It draws on models from several providers, Seedance 2.5, Gemini Omni, GPT Image 2.5, Grok Imagine 1.5, Happy Horse 1.1 and MiniMax H3, where the agent picks and you can override.
Around generation, it adds ad creative intelligence and competitor watchlists on Pro (1 watchlist) and Team (5). The Meta connection is read only and cannot create, edit, publish, pause or delete anything in Meta, per the AdSmash homepage, and performance data covers Meta only. In the Managed Service you send a brief instead of building the ads yourself, and the ads go through a human review step before they ship; that review belongs to the managed service, not every plan.
What we don't claim here: a cost-per-ad figure for AdSmash, since pay-as-you-go rates aren't published, and any ad-platform data integration beyond Meta.
Laria pricing vs AdSmash pricing
Laria's prices are as of October 2, 2026, come from its pricing page, are billed monthly, and are net of taxes. AdSmash's are as of October 14, 2026, come from its pricing page and are in USD only.

Laria's page also has an annual toggle, but we could not capture annual prices, so none are stated here. Some older reviews list a 49-euro Starter plan; it is not on laria's pricing page as of October 2, 2026, where the entry plan is Pro at 99 euros. Its pricing page also holds two sets of product-shot counts, so the table leaves product shots out.
What a laria video costs, by our calculation
Laria publishes no per-video price. Dividing each plan's monthly price by its stated "up to" count gives a maximum-use figure. The counts are maxima, so these are not quotes.
| Plan | Per avatar video (euros) | Per AI video (euros) |
|---|---|---|
| Pro | 9.90 | 2.83 |
| Growth | 9.45 | 2.66 |
| Max | 8.98 | 2.53 |
| Scale | 8.49 | 2.38 |
The gap between plans is small: from Pro to Scale the avatar-video figure falls about 14%, from 9.90 to 8.49 euros, so a bigger plan mainly buys volume rather than a much lower unit price. Laria's pricing page also notes that each AI UGC video ad has a maximum duration under one minute.
Each AI-video figure assumes the whole plan goes to AI videos. We infer that the counts share one credit pool, since laria publishes no per-output credit costs: at Pro, 1,250 credits across 10 avatar videos is 125 credits each, and across 35 AI videos about 36. Credits are in dollars on AdSmash and pay-as-you-go rates are unpublished, so no AdSmash cost per ad can be derived and we don't estimate one.
Credit rules that change the effective price
Under section 4a of laria's terms, each credit allocation is "valid for one (1) month from the day it is granted," and unused credits expire without rollover. Credits are granted monthly even on twelve-month subscriptions. Section 4a also lets enterprise contracts agree different validity, and credits granted before the terms took effect for an existing customer keep a six-month expiry. If you use only 5 of Pro's 10 avatar videos in a month, the plan price works out to 19.80 euros per video by our calculation, and the unused credits are gone. AdSmash plan credits are valid for two months, per its pricing page as of October 2, 2026.
Two more terms bear on fit. Laria's offer is directed exclusively at entrepreneurs, and registration requires a VAT identification number. Content made during the free trial may only be used for testing and evaluation. Laria's terms mention supplementary credits only where it gives the customer the option; the pricing page documents no such option.
Rights, avatars and terms to check before you commit
Laria's terms say that avatars it provided based on real persons' likeness, called "human AI avatars," "are no longer part of our range of services." Avatars you create from your own likeness fall outside that provision. The same section says publication is "at the sole risk and responsibility of the customer," and asks you to review content for third-party rights first. Laria's pricing-page FAQ takes a more reassuring line, saying all rights are legally cleared and you may use the content for your own purposes; read it next to section 6, not instead of it.
These quotes come from the English translation of laria's terms, section 6, last updated August 2026. Only the German original is binding. This is not legal advice.
Which one fits your team
- Laria fits better when your ads are in German and need lip sync, because laria documents lip sync in German and other languages and its site is German-first. It also fits when you want a fixed monthly price for avatar and product-shot output without needing research, since its plans list "up to" counts per month.
- AdSmash fits better when you want competitor watchlists and ad creative intelligence (Pro and Team), because laria's pages document neither.
- AdSmash fits better when you want Meta results read into the same workflow, because laria documents no performance-data import; its Enterprise card lists unspecified custom integrations.
- AdSmash fits better when you run several brands (Team has 5 workspaces) or want a brief-to-ad Managed Service; laria's closest option is the Enterprise account manager.
- AdSmash fits better when your output is uneven, because its plan credits are valid for two months against laria's one-month allowance.
If you are weighing a laria alternative beyond AdSmash, see our roundup of AI video ad tools, and the other head-to-heads on Arcads, Creatify and Pencil. If avatar ads are your plan, our guide to AI UGC ads versus traditional production covers the rules, and how many ads it takes to find a winner helps you size a plan.
Count the outputs you need each month against laria's "up to" figures. Then check the current AdSmash pricing. If the wider loop fits, you can create an account and try it on your own brand.

Does laria have a free trial?
Yes. Laria's FAQ says the free trial lets you create one avatar video with a watermark and three product photos; AI videos are not available in the trial. Under laria's terms, trial content may only be used for testing and evaluation, so publication or commercial use needs a paid plan.
Can I create my own avatar in laria?
