Creatify vs AdSmash comes down to scope and metering. Creatify is an AI video ad generator built on avatars and URL-to-video that now also sells a performance agent, an ad launcher and a done-for-you studio. It meters standard video in 15-second blocks, 5 credits per block, rounded up. AdSmash keeps brand references, models from several providers and read-only Meta performance data in one workflow. AdSmash publishes this page, so every Creatify claim below links to Creatify's own pricing page, help centre, Terms or feature pages, checked on October 1, 2026.

Quick answer
  • Creatify fits teams that want avatar or URL-to-video ads and also want Creatify's own ad-launching and performance tooling.
  • AdSmash fits teams whose bottleneck is keeping products and brand consistent across models and deciding what to make next from their Meta results, which it reads but doesn't change.
  • Creatify costs $39/month (Starter, 100 credits) or $99/month (Pro, 300 credits) on monthly billing, or $19 and $49 per month billed annually. A standard video ad uses 5 credits per 15-second block, rounded up.
  • AdSmash lists Free, Pro ($20/month) and Team ($89/month) as of October 14, 2026.

What Creatify does in 2026

URL-to-video is a tool that turns a product page link into a video ad; Creatify's homepage describes it as turning "any link into a ready-to-post video." That, plus AI avatars, is still the core of how Creatify makes AI-generated ads. Its AI avatar page lists 1,500+ avatars that lip-sync in 75+ languages, custom avatars from a photo or a description, and renders in 2 to 5 minutes.

What changed is everything around the render: Creatify now covers research, launching and performance, not only generation. Creatify says its Agent researches the brand and "what's currently winning on TikTok and Instagram" in your category, plans the scenes and reviews its output against the brief. Follow-up edits re-run only the part you change.

Creatify's Performance Agent page lists connections to Meta, Google Ads, TikTok, Snap Ads, AppLovin, OpenAI Ads, Shopify and GA4. Creatify defines a performance agent as one that connects to your ad accounts, audits spend, builds and launches campaigns, and reallocates budget. That page names no plan. The pricing page describes the integrations in two places that don't match. Its plan comparison table lists the Ad Launcher and AI Performance Agent for Meta, TikTok and AppLovin. The Pro card lists "Performance Agent + Automations" above seven unlabelled platform logos, which by their icons are Meta, Google, TikTok, Snapchat, Reddit, AppLovin and OpenAI. We couldn't tell from the page which integrations each plan includes. The homepage adds a view of spend, ROAS and CTR for every creative.

Pro also lists a Competitor Ad Tracker covering 10M+ Meta ads, Brand Spaces and Creatify MCP for Claude and ChatGPT. For teams that don't want to run the tool themselves, Creatify Studio is a done-for-you service where "a top 1% creative expert reviews every ad before it ships." Creatify's own comparison table puts it at a 48-hour turnaround and $100 to $200 per video. The pricing page lists Studio under Enterprise.

Our earlier version of this page said Creatify had no performance layer and no brand memory. That is out of date.

What AdSmash does, and what it doesn't

AdSmash is an AI ad creative platform built around four things:

  • Brand references. Products, likenesses, colors and typography are stored once and reused across generations.
  • Models from several providers on one canvas. Seedance 2.5, Gemini Omni, GPT Image 2.5, Grok Imagine 1.5, Happy Horse 1.1 and MiniMax H3.
  • Meta performance data. The integration is read only: AdSmash "cannot create, edit, publish, pause, or delete anything" in Meta, per its homepage. Performance data covers Meta only.
  • Managed service. You send a brief instead of building the ads yourself, and ads go through a human review step before they ship. Human review is part of the managed service, not every plan.

AdSmash's Pro and Team plans include ad creative intelligence, a plan feature, and competitor watchlists, 3 and 5 respectively. What AdSmash doesn't document: a talking-avatar library, publishing ads to any platform, or TikTok and Google integrations.

Creatify pricing vs AdSmash pricing

Many of the conflicting Creatify prices online come from pages that print the annual-billing figures as if they were the plan prices. Creatify's pricing page shows both: $39 and $99 a month on monthly billing, and $19 and $49 per month when billed annually. By our calculation that's a 51.3% discount on Starter and 50.5% on Pro's base tier, against a banner that says "up to 50%." The page doesn't show the annual total charged upfront.

More credits lower Creatify's unit price: by our calculation a credit costs $0.33 on Pro's 300-credit monthly tier and $0.20 on the 5,000-credit tier. AdSmash's prices load live on its pricing page and can change. AdSmash doesn't publish its pay-as-you-go rates, so we don't compute an AdSmash cost per ad.

What a Creatify video ad costs in credits

A credit is the unit Creatify's plans allocate each month; each render spends credits according to the tool and the video's length. Creatify's help centre (article dated August 19, 2026) prices Video Ad, Avatar Video and AI Shorts at "5 credits per 15 seconds of video (rounded up)."

The credit formula

Credits per standard video ad = 5 × (length in seconds ÷ 15, rounded up). Cost per ad = plan price ÷ monthly credits × credits per ad.

Our calculation, for first generations only:

Ad lengthCreditsStarter, monthlyPro 300, monthlyStarter, annualPro 300, annual
15 seconds5$1.95$1.65$0.95$0.82
30 seconds10$3.90$3.30$1.90$1.63
60 seconds20$7.80$6.60$3.80$3.27

Two things follow. Rounding makes a 20-second ad cost the same 10 credits as a 30-second one, so trimming an ad only saves credits when it crosses a 15-second boundary. And plan size is a count of ads: Starter's 100 credits cover 10 thirty-second ads a month, and Pro's 300 cover 30.

Illustrative example: a team testing 20 distinct 30-second ads a month needs 200 credits for first generations alone, more than Starter includes and within Pro's base tier. How many distinct ideas you need is the real input; our post on how many ads it takes to find a winner works through that count.

The table leaves out three costs. The first is regenerations. Creatify's pricing FAQ says anything that re-runs the AI (video, avatar, voice or script) counts as a new generation and uses credits, while manual edits to an exported project are free. The help centre prices revisions at 3 credits per 15 seconds, rounded up, and makes them free on Pro and higher if the script, avatar and voice don't change. On Starter, then, a 30-second ad with one revision uses 10 + 6 = 16 credits, about $6.24 on monthly billing by our calculation.

The second is variable tools: credit use for Agent, Ad Flow and Ad Clone "cannot be determined upfront," per the help centre. The third is other models. Aurora avatar-model video uses the same 5 credits per 15 seconds, and Google Veo 3 product video is a flat 10 credits for a maximum of 8 seconds.

Creatify billing terms that change the effective price

  • Validity. Unused credits are valid for 2 months, per the pricing FAQ, so they carry into the next month.
  • Plan changes. Changing plan starts a new billing cycle and unused credits stay available; you can't switch from an annual plan until you have fewer than 10 credits left.
  • Free credits don't transfer to a paid plan.
  • Cancelling. You can cancel at any time and keep access until the end of the billing cycle.
  • Refunds and renewal. Creatify's Terms (effective September 23, 2024) say subscriptions renew automatically and payments are non-refundable except where required by law, including when you cancel.
  • Price changes apply at your next renewal or 30 days after notice, whichever is later.
  • Ownership. The pricing FAQ says you own your creatives even after your plan ends.

Our view: annual billing halves the price but prepays a year with no refund, so start on monthly billing until you know how many ads you'll make.

Which one fits your team

Our view, tied to what each tool documents.

Creatify is the better fit when you want avatar or URL-to-video ads along with the launch and performance tooling described above, from the same vendor. If you make avatar ads in high volume, Pro's 5,000-credit tier brings a credit down to about $0.20 by our calculation, so a 30-second ad costs about $2.00 on monthly billing. It also fits when you'd rather buy finished ads, since Studio publishes a per-video price and a human review of every ad.

AdSmash is the better fit when your bottleneck is keeping products and brand assets consistent across models from several providers, and you want Meta results, read only, in the same workflow where you decide what to make next.

Using both is reasonable (our inference) when avatar ads are one format among several: Creatify output can be judged on the same Meta metrics as everything else you run. AdSmash doesn't publish ads, so a launcher still sits elsewhere.

When neither Creatify nor AdSmash is the right tool

Some teams searching for a Creatify alternative need a different kind of tool; our roundup of AI video ad tools covers a wider field. Our Arcads comparison covers the other talking-actor tool we've compared, including the FTC rule on AI testimonials. In our view:

  • If the ad depends on a real customer's experience, work with real customers or creators who have used the product.
  • If you make only a handful of ads a month, a general video editor and your own footage are usually enough.
  • If you need a presenter for training or corporate video rather than paid social, avatar tools built for that use fit better.

Before you pick a plan, count the distinct ads you'll test next month and multiply by the credits per ad from the formula above. Choose the Creatify plan and billing cycle (or the AdSmash plan) from that number, monthly first. If AdSmash's workflow fits better, you can create an account and try it on your own brand.

Frequently asked questions

How much does Creatify cost?

As of October 1, 2026, Creatify Starter is $39 a month for 100 credits and Pro is $99 a month for 300 credits on monthly billing. Billed annually, they are $19 and $49 per month. A free plan gives 10 credits a month with watermarked exports, and Enterprise is custom. See the pricing section above.

How many credits does a Creatify video use?

Creatify's help centre charges Video Ad, Avatar Video and AI Shorts at 5 credits per 15 seconds of video, rounded up, so a 30-second ad uses 10 credits and a 20-second ad uses the same 10. Agent, Ad Flow and Ad Clone use a variable number of credits that isn't shown upfront.

Do Creatify credits roll over?

Creatify's pricing FAQ says unused credits are valid for 2 months, so they carry over to the next month. If you change plan, unused credits stay available. Credits from the free plan can't be moved to a paid plan. See the billing terms section above for the rest.

Can I get a refund from Creatify?

This is not legal advice. Creatify's Terms say payments are non-refundable except where required by law, including when you cancel, and that subscriptions renew automatically. Its pricing FAQ says you can cancel at any time and keep access until the end of the billing cycle.

Do Creatify revisions cost credits?

Creatify's help centre prices revisions at 3 credits per 15 seconds, rounded up, and says they are free on Pro and higher if you keep the script, avatar and voice. Manual edits to an exported project are free; anything that re-runs the AI counts as a new generation.

Does Creatify have a free plan?

Yes. Creatify's free plan gives 10 credits a month, enough for up to 2 video ads, and exports include a watermark. Free credits replenish monthly and can't be transferred to a paid plan, so a paid plan starts from its own credit allowance.
